Rosemarie Künzler-Behnke was born in 1926 in Dessau. Her first children's book appeared in 1970. In answer to the question "what do you hope to achieve with your books? What is important in life?", the mother of three children replied: "I would like to encourage children to think independently and to be imaginative and creative." |

Christine Georg, born in 1958, studied graphic design in Düsseldorf. Since 1987 she has been a freelance illustrator for various children's and textbook publishers. |
