Gustav tells the fairy tale about the frog prince to his friend Quacker the bullfrog, and now Quacker is convinced that he, too, is a bewitched prince. He wants Gustav to kiss him so that he can finally be transformed into a handsome prince. Alas, it just doesn't work, and even Gitti the goose can't help out. Quacker remains a frog. But Gustav has another idea: Bromse the bear should dress up like a princess and make Quacker the happiest frog in the world. This princess, however, turns out to have very high expectations: she wants a nightly backrub, and honey cookies! Quacker isn't ready for any of that. He decides he'd much rather stay a run-of-the-mill green frog, and hops back into the river. This hilarious story illustrates that not everything you read in fairy tales is true. |
