Franz Kafka's writings are fascinating and irritating. They are bewildering and disturbing, and those very qualities draw readers into their spell. The Hamburg-based artist Stefanie Harjes has been inspired by them to create extraordinary illustrations. "Kafka and I" is the visually stunning tale of her "mad passion" for one of the most significant writers of the twentieth century, and offers a unique opportunity to acquaint young people with this author's work.
Excerpts from his novels and stories alternate with text miniatures. |
