No mushrooms grow in Bear Valley during the winter, and there are no blackberries or honey to be found. There is just the cold and snow - and Santa Claus. Berti has never seen him, though, because bears all hibernate at Christmas time. But this year will be different! Berti simply must find out what Santa Claus looks like, so this winter he sets an alarm clock and wakes up on Christmas Eve, and sets out in search of him. He stumbles through the beautiful snow-covered winter landscape in amazement. He hardly recognizes his own forest, and when darkness falls, he can't find his way back home. "Help!" he cries, terrified, yelling as loud as he can. Fortunately, help is nearby. A friendly man with a white beard and red coat finds Berti and drives him home in his large sleigh - Santa Claus has found Berti! But now it is time to quickly crawl back in bed and get back to sleep. The chocolate and honey cakes can wait ... until spring. |
